Towering trees merge into a vast canopy with a multiplicity of tree, epiphytes and creeper species growing through one another in a fantastically complex ecosystem. Bell birds and howler monkeys can be heard (and sometimes seen) from suspension walkways that thread through some of Costa Rica's major parks.
